Kindig-It Design’s TwelveAir custom Corvette is being offered through Richmond Auctions, giving collectors an opportunity to bid on a one-off creation powered by a 9.2-liter V12. The auction is scheduled to run through October 17.

The TwelveAir debuted at the 2024 Detroit Autorama after nearly five years of design and construction. While its proportions and styling recall a Corvette, the car was built from the ground up rather than created by modifying a production model.

Inspired by a 1954 Chevrolet concept

Its design draws from the 1954 Chevrolet Corvair Concept, which appeared one year after the Corvette entered production. That earlier concept combined Corvette influence with a fastback roofline, an idea Kindig-It reinterpreted with substantially lower and wider proportions.

The TwelveAir’s bodywork is fabricated from aluminum and finished in Modern Classikk Infrared paint. Chrome details appear throughout the exterior, including the custom wheels, bumpers, and front grille.

A bespoke 9.2-liter V12

Instead of relying on a readily available LS V8, Kindig-It fitted the custom car with a bespoke aluminum V12 supplied by Race Cast Engineering. The 9.2-liter engine produces 650 horsepower and is paired with a seven-speed transmission.

Beyond its output, the engine is presented as a major visual feature of the build, with detailing intended to make it part of the car’s overall design rather than something hidden beneath the bodywork.

Custom interior and exposed hardware

The cabin continues the TwelveAir’s tailored approach. It includes a custom squircle-shaped steering wheel, traditional gauges, and a large transmission tunnel that separates the two sides of the cockpit.

Tan leather covers the seats, dashboard, door panels, and headliner. At the rear, suspension components remain exposed, adding visible mechanical detail to the cabin area.

With its ground-up construction, aluminum body, bespoke V12, and extensive custom interior, the TwelveAir represents one of Kindig-It Design’s most elaborate Corvette-inspired builds. Richmond Auctions is handling the sale through October 17.
