Chery has revealed a factory-backed range of Ironman 4×4 accessories for the Stockman pickup ahead of its scheduled Australian launch in February 2027. The equipment is designed to strengthen the plug-in hybrid truck’s off-road credentials and support touring and camping use.
Developed with Australian tuner Ironman 4×4, the accessory lineup includes exterior protection, suspension upgrades, storage equipment and camping-focused hardware. Most components use aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, while the accessories are compatible with the Stockman’s ADAS sensors and have undergone crash testing.
Protection and recovery equipment
The central component is Ironman 4×4’s Apex front bumper, which incorporates a bull bar to protect the Stockman’s front end. It also provides mounting points for auxiliary lighting, LED foglights and a 12,000-pound winch. Dual recovery points and a heavy-duty skid plate are included in the design.
Steel side steps feature a textured powder-coated finish intended to improve grip. At the rear, a protection tow bar adds a tow hitch and recovery points.
Canopy and roof-rack options
The Raid canopy is rated to support static loads of up to 380 kilograms, allowing it to be paired with a roof tent and awning. Buyers can specify a roller drawer system, aluminum or glass windows, central locking, interior lighting, security mesh and side storage.
A low-profile roof rack completes the cargo system, providing space for additional equipment and LED lights.
Suspension lift and future GVM upgrade
Ironman’s suspension package includes a choice of IM2.5 Monotube or Foam Cell shock absorbers, along with new coil springs, rear leaf springs, front struts, spring bushes and U-bolts. The components were developed and tested in Australia.
The package raises ground clearance by 50 mm over the standard Stockman’s 247 mm, creating additional room for larger tires. Ironman 4×4 has also confirmed that a GVM upgrade for the Stockman is expected in the near future, although further details have not yet been provided.
The company received OEM-level engineering access to the Chery pickup during development. The accessories were assessed for structural performance, water ingress and durability under Australian Design Rules requirements. Accessories purchased for a new Stockman through local dealerships will be covered by the vehicle’s seven-year manufacturer warranty. Pricing will be announced later.
Stockman powertrain and launch timing
The Stockman uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a 2.5-liter turbo-diesel inline-four with two electric motors. The system produces 469 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, with drive sent to all four wheels through triple locking differentials and a low-range transfer case.
A 34-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery provides an electric-only range of 96 kilometers between charges. The pickup has a braked towing capacity of 3,495 kilograms and a maximum payload of 765 kilograms.
Chery’s Australian range will position the Stockman against established pickups including the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50 and facelifted Mitsubishi Triton when the truck launches locally in February 2027.
