Toyota has created five snow-ready concept vehicles for the SEMA Show, transforming the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia into tracked off-roaders designed for extreme winter conditions.
The concepts were developed at Toyota’s CALTY Design Research facility in Michigan. Along with snow tracks, each vehicle receives a collection of adventure-focused accessories, though Toyota has no plans to offer the concepts for public sale.
Five vehicles, one winter theme
The Tundra Snowhunter Concept features Toyota’s TrailLift Pro Rack System. The setup adds a rugged frame, storage solutions, and an articulating rack intended to simplify loading bikes, kayaks, and other equipment onto the roof.
The Sequoia Snowhunter Concept combines cast-aluminum running boards with a TRD front skid plate, a Prinsu roof rack, and a Thule Pulse 2 cargo box. The Land Cruiser version uses the same type of Prinsu roof rack, along with a Thule SnowPack ski rack and Toyota Genuine rock rails and skid plates.
Toyota says the Tacoma Snowhunter Concept was configured for tight winter trails. Its equipment includes snow tracks, a roof rack, a full-length bed rack, an awning, cargo storage, bed lighting, and dedicated recovery gear.
The 4Runner Snowhunter Concept completes the group with Toyota rack rails, a Prinsu roof rack, and a Thule cargo box.
Concepts designed for the SEMA spotlight
All five vehicles share white paintwork with gray geometric graphics, giving the collection a consistent appearance suited to its snowy setting. Their modifications extend well beyond the track systems, with each concept combining winter mobility equipment and additional storage or recovery accessories.
Despite the extensive customization, the Snowhunter vehicles remain one-off SEMA concepts rather than production models. The collection does, however, highlight the range of equipment Toyota’s designers can apply to its off-road-focused trucks and SUVs.
