Porsche is planning a new type of automotive storage property in the United States, combining private car studios with workspaces, entertainment areas and member amenities. Called Porsche Design Concours, the project is expected to open in 2028, with initial locations planned for Texas and Florida.

Each development will include 22 privately owned automotive studios. The properties will be sold by invitation only, and Porsche ownership will not be required. Collectors will be able to store vehicles from different manufacturers, eras and categories.

Private studios with living and workspace features

The individual studios will measure between 2,700 and 6,000 square feet. Each will be deeded property with climate control, a full bathroom, wet bar and mezzanine level. The spaces are designed to support more than vehicle storage, allowing owners to work, relax or host guests alongside their collections.

Renderings show multi-level storage systems displaying cars including several 911 models and a Carrera GT. Other designs depict a classic 964 positioned below an office and lounge area, with a workshop incorporated into the studio.

“The Concours” connects the studios

A central indoor roadway, called “The Concours,” will connect many of the studios. Instead of using a conventional outdoor access lane, the route is designed as an indoor automotive gallery where owners can drive through the property and display their vehicles.

The developments will also include a members-only Clubhouse. Planned facilities include dining areas, lounges, coworking spaces, outdoor terraces and event spaces. Additional amenities are set to include a spa and wellness area, padel courts, concierge service and round-the-clock security.

Although the project carries the Porsche name and its visual concepts prominently feature Porsche vehicles, owners will not be limited to the brand. The spaces could accommodate collections that include other makes, meaning vehicles such as Ferraris or Corvettes would be eligible alongside Porsche models.

The Texas and Florida properties are described as the first Porsche Design Concours locations, with more developments eventually planned elsewhere in the United States. The spaces are expected to open in 2028.
