Jaguar Land Rover is recalling a single 2026 Range Rover Sport in the United States after a potentially misaligned circuit board was identified inside its powertrain control module. The defect could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly while driving.

The affected SUV was built on February 16, 2026. According to the recall information, supplier Bosch found a small number of powertrain control modules with the issue during an analysis of production records.

One delivered vehicle requires repair

JLR issued a quarantine notice for vehicles assembled with the suspect modules so they could be repaired before reaching customers. The automaker believes four vehicles were built with the defective component, but those vehicles had already been delivered when the issue was identified.

The recall currently covers only one Range Rover Sport. The reason the other potentially affected vehicles are not included in the recall is not stated in the available information. JLR also reported that there have been no incidents or injuries linked to the fault.

The owner of the recalled SUV is scheduled to receive notification on November 20, 2026. A Land Rover dealer will replace the entire powertrain control module at no cost.

Separate recall affects 48-volt vehicles

The Range Rover Sport campaign follows another electrical recall involving nearly 24,000 vehicles in the United States. That issue affects models equipped with 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrains and involves a possible failure of the DC-to-DC converter.

If the converter fails, the 12-volt system may stop charging. The engine could then shut off while the vehicle is being driven.

Vehicles included in that separate recall span several Land Rover models, including the Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover, and Range Rover Evoque. Jaguar F-Pace and E-Pace models are also affected.
