A new digital rendering imagines how Tesla’s second-generation Roadster could translate into a four-door sedan, borrowing the electric hypercar’s design cues and combining them with the shape of the Hyundai Ioniq V production model.

Created by independent digital artist Theophilus Chin, known online as Theottle, the fictional sedan applies the Roadster’s styling language to a vehicle with a more practical body style. The Ioniq V was selected as the donor vehicle because its wedge-shaped profile already has visual similarities to Lamborghini’s four-door design studies.

Roadster styling adapted for four doors

The rendering extends the front overhang to accommodate the Roadster-inspired nose and its pop-down headlights. Along the side, the sedan receives the Roadster’s character line and Tesla’s familiar pop-out door handles.

A stretched, Gallardo-style greenhouse is paired with a sloping roofline, giving the design a fastback profile. Compared with the low-slung Roadster, the sedan is substantially wider and taller, but it retains several visual elements from the two-door model.

Those details include full-width LED taillights and four nozzles integrated into a large rear diffuser. The fictional sedan leaves out the active rear wing shown on the Roadster concept.

A possible Model S successor in appearance only

The result is less sleek than Lamborghini’s Estoque concept from 2008, but the rendering suggests how a Roadster-based design language could be adapted for a future Tesla sedan. In that sense, it could serve as an imagined replacement for the discontinued Model S if Tesla eventually extends the styling theme across its lineup.

Theottle also joked that the sedan would probably not be capable of flight, despite the Roadster’s claimed thruster technology, but could potentially use SpaceX technology to deal with potholes. The rendering itself does not represent a Tesla product or an announced vehicle.

Roadster production details remain separate

Tesla has reportedly scheduled production of the second-generation Roadster for 2028. The Thrust version is listed at $250,000 and is described as using cold-gas thrusters, alongside a claimed 0-to-60-mph time of 0.81 seconds. The source says only the Rocket trim would perform the flying demonstrations and that access would be invite-only.

For buyers interested in an electric vehicle with Lamborghini-influenced styling, the Hyundai Ioniq V is presented as an available alternative in China. It starts at ¥109,900, or about $16,500, although the source notes that it is not expected to match the Tesla’s performance.
