British firm Audacious Automotive has revealed the Audacious IV, a heavily reworked Audi Quattro-inspired restomod with available 10,000-rpm V8 engines, manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and a production limit of no more than 50 units.
Prices start at £350,000, placing the Audacious IV firmly in high-end collector territory. The car is offered in two forms: one retains the upper structure, roof, and windows of an original Audi Quattro, while the other uses an entirely carbon-fiber body and does not require a donor Quattro.
RS4-based mechanical package
Despite its classic Quattro appearance, the Audacious IV is not built from an original Quattro underneath. Instead, it uses the platform and lower structure of the B7-generation Audi RS4. The retained components include the floor, lower body structure, braking system, steering, electrical systems, and suspension geometry.
The RS4’s 4.2-liter V8 forms the basis of several engine choices. The entry-level configuration adds a supercharger and produces 600 horsepower. A more powerful supercharged version raises output to 750 hp.
Audacious Automotive also offers two other V8 configurations that can rev to 10,000 rpm. One is naturally aspirated and the other is supercharged, although power figures for those versions have not been disclosed.
Every Audacious IV uses a six-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. The quickest version is expected to reach 62 mph in as little as 3.4 seconds, while the stated top speed is 200 mph.
Modernized Quattro-inspired design
The finished car adopts the visual character of the original Ur Quattro while introducing extensively revised bodywork. The front end features updated LED headlights, a black grille, new intakes, and a prominent splitter. The three hood gills have also been enlarged.
Wide quarter panels reinforce the car’s Group B-era stance, while three-spoke star-shaped wheels and a large rear wing distinguish the Audacious IV from the classic Audi. The bespoke bodywork is made from steel and aluminum on the standard version, with carbon fiber used for the lighter alternative.
Custom interior
The cabin combines traditional design cues with bespoke details. Equipment includes a three-spoke leather-and-aluminum steering wheel, a custom instrument binnacle with conventional gauges, and a spherical gear knob.
The example shown by Audacious Automotive uses tan and black leather across the dashboard, door panels, and seats, together with tartan trim. The company also indicates that customers will be able to choose from an extensive range of interior options and configurations.
With its limited production run, multiple V8 specifications, and carbon-fiber body option, the Audacious IV offers a modern interpretation of the Audi Quattro without relying on an original Quattro for every build.
