DS Automobiles has presented the F3VER concept at the Paris Motor Show, offering a glimpse at the brand’s future design direction and its stated vision for mobility. The striking hatchback introduces an appearance unlike any current DS production model.

A distinctive exterior design

The front of the F3VER centers on a dark-blue “totem” element that incorporates an illuminated DS badge. It is flanked by sharply styled Y-shaped headlights and LED daytime running lights, while a silver lower bumper detail adds another contrasting element.

Color plays a major role in the concept’s design. A silver-painted ring surrounds the roof, while the side windows feature a dramatic blue tint. The rear section uses a darker blue finish than the front and sides. Geometric wheels and a second totem-inspired feature at the back help connect the various design elements.

Measuring 164.8 inches, or 4.19 meters, in length, the F3VER is approximately as long as a new Renault Clio. However, its 72.4-inch, or 1.84-meter, width gives it a substantially more muscular stance than many modern hatchbacks.

Concept dimensions and practicality

Although the F3VER remains a concept, DS has highlighted its usable proportions. The hatchback has a 106.2-inch, or 2.7-meter, wheelbase and a 14.1-cubic-foot, or 400-liter, trunk. Those figures suggest that the concept was designed with everyday usability in mind alongside its highly expressive styling.

DS describes the F3VER as combining strong visual appeal with extensive customization and flexible use. The company has presented it as a preview of its future rather than identifying it as a direct production model.

Possible influence on future DS models

The concept’s design could provide inspiration for a future-generation DS 3, although DS has not confirmed such a connection. If that influence does emerge, personalization and a balance between style and practicality could become important elements of the model’s direction.

DS has not shown the F3VER’s interior, leaving the cabin design and any potential preview of future technology undisclosed. For now, the concept’s exterior provides the clearest indication of how the brand may approach its next generation of vehicles.
