Skoda has launched the facelifted Slavia in India, updating its smaller sedan with revised styling, additional cabin technology and new equipment. The refreshed model debuted in August 2026 and is priced from Rs 10 lakh, or approximately $10,400, for the Classic 1.0 TSI with a manual transmission.

That starting price is lower than the Rs 10.69 lakh launch price of the pre-facelift Slavia in 2022. At the top of the range, the Slavia Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DSG starts at Rs 18.84 lakh, equivalent to about $19,500. The sedan competes with models including the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City and Hyundai Verna.

Revised exterior design

The facelift brings a redesigned front bumper with cleaner intake openings, a revised grille and updated LED headlight graphics. The sedan’s 4,552-mm body remains otherwise unchanged in profile, apart from newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels.

At the rear, a black trim element carrying Skoda lettering now spans the area between the taillights. The lamps also receive new LED graphics and sequential indicators. Two new exterior colors, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, join the available palette.

Monte Carlo adds visual changes

The Monte Carlo version continues as the range-topping trim and receives a distinctive appearance package. Its equipment includes black 16-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, red grille accents, carbon-style exterior details and a black roof.

Additional styling elements include a front splitter, side skirt extensions, a small rear diffuser and a lip spoiler. Despite those changes, the Monte Carlo does not receive chassis or performance upgrades. Its cabin uses an all-black theme with red dashboard inserts and contrasting stitching.

Updated cabin and carry-over engines

Inside, the refreshed Slavia gains new trim details, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with AI technology and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display. The latter replaces the previous 8-inch unit. Other equipment changes include rear massaging seats, a 360-degree camera and an upgraded air-conditioning system designed to cool the cabin faster.

Six airbags are standard, although the Slavia does not offer more advanced driver-assistance systems.

The sedan continues to use the localized MQB-A0-IN platform shared with the Kushaq SUV. Its powertrain lineup remains fully gasoline-powered, with two turbocharged engines. The 1.0-liter TSI produces 114 hp (85 kW/115 PS) and can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the former six-speed automatic.

The 1.5-liter TSI develops 148 hp (110 kW/150 PS) and is available exclusively with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It sends power to the front wheels, while the facelift also upgrades its rear brakes from drums to discs.
