An Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and a Tesla Cybertruck offered a striking contrast when they appeared together at the 2026 edition of Festivalcar, an Italian Concours d’Elegance held at the Castello Cavour di Santena.

The pairing brought together two vehicles with fundamentally different design approaches. The 8C uses rounded bodywork inspired in part by the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, while the Cybertruck’s stainless-steel exterior is defined by sharp angles and flat surfaces.

Two very different design philosophies

Alfa Romeo introduced the 8C Competizione as a concept in 2003 before launching the production version in 2007. Designed under Wolfgang Egger’s guidance, the grand tourer was based on a shortened Maserati GranTurismo chassis and used a Ferrari-sourced V8 positioned in front of the cabin.

The Cybertruck followed Tesla’s original 2019 concept into production in 2023. The full-size electric pickup is available with a tri-motor powertrain producing up to 845 horsepower, according to the supplied source.

Photos of the two vehicles were shared by an event attendee and CarScoops reader. The Cybertruck was described as an unexpected presence at the Italian event, where it appeared alongside a broad selection of historic and contemporary vehicles.

Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Lancia highlights

The 8C was joined by several other Alfa Romeo models, including the 2uettottanta concept, 4C, Giulia GTAm, Giulietta Sprint, Spider, and original Giulia.

Ferrari’s display included the 275 GTB/4, F50, F355, and 512 TR, along with the newer Amalfi and 849 Testarossa. The Ferrari Luce was not present. Lancia models included the Stratos HF, Flavia Coupe, and Aurelia B20 GT.

Other Italian entries included several Maseratis, the Bertone Runabout concept, and a Lamborghini Miura. A purple Revuelto later joined the Miura on the lawn after the cars had been seen on the narrow streets of Revigliasco Torinese.

Cars from beyond Italy

The event also featured vehicles from outside Italy. Visitors could see a Jaguar E-Type, several examples of the original Porsche 911, and a black Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI parked near the Ferrari F50.

A limited-production Nissan GT-R 50 was also present, combining Japanese engineering with Italian design involvement. The event’s selection extended to both ends of Fiat’s small-car history, with a 1936 Topolino displayed alongside the modern electric heavy quadricycle carrying the same name.

Festivalcar’s official video additionally showed the Top. L speedster, a one-off Topolino-based model created by Lapo Elkann and Fabrizio Giugiaro. Together with the 8C and Cybertruck, the varied lineup illustrated the wide range of vehicles gathered for the 2026 event.
