Toyota is bringing a heavily modified Crown Signia to the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where the one-off GT-S Concept will combine dramatic bodywork, upgraded suspension and larger brakes with the standard model’s unchanged hybrid powertrain.

The concept is based on the Crown Signia, which is being refreshed for 2027. Toyota says the project was developed as a family vehicle capable of handling everyday school runs while also being suited to canyon-road cruising.

Lower suspension and custom bodywork

Toyota Motorsports Garage fitted the Crown Signia GT-S with MCS coilovers that reduce ride height by five inches and are intended to improve handling. The lower stance is paired with a custom body kit featuring flared front and rear fenders, extended rocker panels and a prominent front lip.

The grille has been finished in black, while red detailing surrounds the headlights. The front fenders also feature louvered vents, an element that recalls the treatment used on high-performance sports cars. The source does not establish whether the louvers provide an aerodynamic or brake-cooling benefit on this concept.

At the rear, the show car receives a redesigned section with a large diffuser and visible tailpipes. A dark gray metallic finish, covered with additional clear coats, gives the exterior a particularly glossy appearance.

Upgraded brakes and interior details

The concept uses brake hardware adapted from the Lexus RX 500h F Sport. Those brakes sit behind 21-inch HRE wheels, adding another chassis-focused change to the otherwise visually aggressive build.

Interior updates are limited in scope. The Crown Signia receives black leather seats with GT-S branding, while the electronic shifter carries a bright red GT-S logo.

The hybrid powertrain remains unchanged

Despite its performance-oriented appearance, the GT-S Concept does not receive powertrain modifications. The U.S.-market Crown Signia uses a hybrid 2.5-liter inline-four paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, producing 238 horsepower.

That output remains the same for the SEMA concept. As a result, the GT-S treatment focuses on the Crown Signia’s suspension, braking, exterior design and interior details rather than adding engine performance.
