The 2027 Mazda CX-5 gains updated infotainment software with Google’s Gemini AI assistant across the lineup, while standard all-wheel drive remains included on every version. Pricing starts at $31,485, including delivery, for the base 2.5 S Select.

Gemini-enabled infotainment

The updated system allows drivers to use the in-vehicle Google Gemini assistant for tasks they would typically ask of a Google-enabled phone. The feature is designed to let drivers interact with the assistant while keeping their attention on the road.

All 2027 CX-5 models use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The engine continues to be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and runs on regular 87-octane fuel.

Standard all-wheel drive and safety equipment

All-wheel drive is standard across the CX-5 range for 2027. Standard safety equipment includes radar cruise control, speed-limit and traffic-sign support, rear brake and rear cross-traffic assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and a driver-attention monitor.

Trim levels and pricing

The CX-5 lineup begins with the 2.5 S Select at $31,485 with delivery. The S Preferred adds 19-inch wheels, while the Premium and Premium Plus versions include features such as leather seats and a power liftgate.

The range-topping S Premium Plus starts at $40,935. Mazda also offers the CX-50 for buyers seeking a hybrid model, although the source identifies that vehicle separately from the CX-5 lineup.
