Ford is expanding the 2027 Bronco lineup with the Raptor’s 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, giving several non-Raptor models 380 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The engine replaces the outgoing 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 on those versions, although it produces less power than it does in the Bronco Raptor.
More Bronco trims get the 3.0-liter V6
The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter engine will be available in the Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage, and the new Filson models. In the Bronco Raptor, the same engine produces 418 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. For the other trims, Ford has reduced output to 380 hp while keeping the Raptor’s torque figure unchanged.
That represents a substantial increase over the previous 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, which was rated at 315 hp and 410 lb-ft when running on premium fuel. Ford has not yet disclosed pricing for the 2027 Bronco lineup, so it remains unclear whether choosing the larger engine will require a significant premium.
The entry-level Bronco and Big Bend are expected to continue with the turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four. The source does not provide a revised output figure for that engine.
Interior and equipment updates
The 2027 changes also include revisions to equipment and cabin materials. Big Bend models fitted with the Mid Package will gain a heated steering wheel.
The Outer Banks can be equipped with a new type of premium vinyl seating when ordered with the optional Lux Package. Badlands models receive upgraded Marine Grade Vinyl, while a power-adjustable driver’s seat becomes available on the trim for the first time.
New colors and the Filson edition
Neptune Blue joins the 2027 Bronco color palette, replacing Velocity Blue. The Bronco Filson, which was revealed in June 2026, will have two colors exclusive to the model: Field Green and Iron Sands Metallic.
Ford has also positioned the 2027 Bronco lineup around greater comfort and additional personalization choices. However, pricing for the range, including the newly available 3.0-liter V6, has not yet been announced.
