Kia’s EV3 is positioned as the brand’s most affordable electric vehicle, with pricing starting at $29,890. However, dealer markups and add-on packages are pushing some examples far above their advertised manufacturer’s suggested retail prices.

California EV3 listed for more than $55,000

One of the largest markups appears at Car Pros Kia Glendale in California. The dealership lists an EV3 GT at $47,385, then adds a $4,995 “market adjustment.” Additional charges include $1,995 for Lojack, $499 for wheel locks, and $149 for a roadside kit.

After an $85 document fee and a $37 filing fee, the vehicle’s total price reaches $55,145. That is $7,760 above MSRP. For comparison, the 2026 Kia EV6 GT-Line starts at $48,700.

Other dealerships add costly accessories

Some dealers are avoiding explicit market adjustments while adding expensive dealer-installed equipment. Hendrick Kia of Concord in North Carolina lists $997 in options on an EV3 GT-Line. The package appears to include $499 for window tinting, a $199 infotainment protector, and $299 for door edge guards.

Sunset Kia of Sarasota lists a $995 dealer “value package” with its $45,575 EV3 GT-Line. The package includes two oil changes, nitrogen tire inflation, door edge guards, door cups, and a DuPont coating.

Some dealers are offering discounts

Pricing varies significantly between dealerships. Ourisman Kia of Bethesda in Maryland is advertising a $1,834 discount on an EV3 Wind priced at $36,685. With $1,500 in Kia cash, the vehicle’s price falls to $33,351 before an $800 processing fee.

Courtesy Kia of Brandon in Florida is offering a $2,098 discount on the same $36,685 EV3 Wind. That reduction more than offsets the dealership’s $998 in tag and pre-delivery fees.

The different listings show why EV3 shoppers may want to compare multiple dealers before completing a purchase. Depending on the dealership, the vehicle can carry a substantial markup, receive costly add-ons, or be offered with discounts that reduce the transaction price.
