A hotter version of Porsche’s electric Cayenne Coupe has been briefly spotted during unloading, suggesting the lineup could eventually gain a battery-powered counterpart to the gasoline Cayenne Turbo GT.

The prototype appears to follow the existing Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric, although much of its body remains covered. The front fascia looks largely unchanged from the regular electric Turbo Coupe, while white plastic may be concealing smaller revisions.

Distinctive exterior details

Several visible changes point to the prototype’s more performance-focused role. It wears lightweight gloss-black wheels rather than the aerodynamic wheels fitted to the standard model. Behind them appear to be carbon-ceramic brakes with black calipers, equipment that is listed as a $10,900 option for the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric.

The test vehicle also features gloss-black door handles and mirror caps. Its side sills are currently blank, but those panels could eventually receive Turbo GT branding if the vehicle reaches production.

The clearest visual difference is at the rear. A large spoiler has been installed on the coupe-shaped crossover, while plastic covering the diffuser makes it difficult to determine whether the range-topping model will receive a distinct lower-rear design.

Possible electric powertrain upgrades

Porsche has not revealed powertrain details for the suspected electric Turbo GT. The model is expected to use a 113-kWh battery and an upgraded dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, based on the information currently available.

The regular Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric produces 1,139 horsepower (850 kW/1,156 PS) and 1,106 pound-feet (1,498 Nm) of torque. That leaves open the possibility that a Turbo GT version could exceed 1,200 hp (895 kW/1,217 PS), although such an output has not been confirmed.

Performance estimates are similarly unconfirmed. The upcoming electric coupe could potentially reach 60 mph from a standstill in less than 2.4 seconds and exceed the regular model’s reported 162-mph (261-km/h) top speed.

Position within the Cayenne Coupe range

Porsche’s electric Cayenne Coupe lineup currently includes three variants: the standard Coupe with 435 hp (325 kW/442 PS), the S Coupe with 657 hp (490 kW/666 PS), and the Turbo Coupe with 1,139 hp. The gasoline-powered Cayenne Turbo GT sits above the conventional range and starts at $214,800.

The covered prototype’s styling and apparent brake and wheel upgrades indicate that Porsche is evaluating a more extreme electric coupe, but the vehicle’s final specifications, name, and production status remain unconfirmed.
