Ferrari has introduced Sketch Body, an art collection built around hand-painted and sketched body panels from several of its road and track cars. The pieces draw on a one-off 812 Competizione created by Ferrari’s Tailor Made department three years ago.

That special 812 featured black accents modeled on a designer’s hand-drawn lines, arrows, and annotations. Ferrari has carried the same visual idea into the new collection, applying similar marks to individual panels presented as large canvases.

The first previewed pieces use body panels from five Ferrari models. They include the clamshell hoods of the 12Cilindri, 812 Competizione, and Purosangue, along with the F80’s engine cover and the rear clamshell from the limited-edition Daytona SP3.

Each panel is hand-painted and marked with black sketches and notes that emphasize key curves and creases in the underlying design. Ferrari also says panels from additional models will become available, although it has not identified those vehicles.

Pricing and production details have not been announced

The Sketch Body collection is intended to present Ferrari design as artwork for display in spaces such as offices and lounges. It also gives enthusiasts a way to own an individual Ferrari body panel rather than a complete vehicle.

Ferrari has not disclosed pricing for the pieces or said how many it plans to produce. Further details about availability were not provided.
